Meet the team

Austin Wyatt


Austin Wyatt received his Bachelor of Arts in Security and Counter-Terrorism (Hons) from Swinburne University of Technology. In 2016, he completed the final semester of his Honours on exchange under the Australian Government’s New Colombo Plan at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.

Austin is the Networks Director with the I CAN Network, a Not For Profit organisation based in Melbourne that provides youth mentoring and peer support to enable young people on the Autism Spectrum to reach their full potential.

Austin’s PhD dissertation will critically examine the societal impact of the advent and proliferation of autonomous weapon technology. His dissertation will also explore the ways in which autonomous weapon technology will impact on the domestic security policy in Australia, the United States and South Korea.
